Mahopac Couple Charged With Passing Drugs During Jail Visit
A Mahopac couple was busted for passing drugs during a visit between the two at the Putnam County Correctional Facility in Carmel, said Putnam County Sheriff Donald B. Smith.
The incident, which occurred at 8:30 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 12, took place in the visitation room of the jail facility, said Capt. William McNamara.
Correction Officer Richard Greagor observed suspicious contact between Philip Callaci, 49, and his visitor Dawn Lagatella, 38, who live together in Mahopac, McNamara said.
