Wanted Man Caught In Carmel A Spring Valley man was picked up Wednesday, Feb. 1, by the Carmel Police Department after they were contacted by Suffern Police that he was wanted on a warrant. Adrian Guaman-Pesantez, 20, was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle after he was arrested by the Suffern Police, said Lt. John Dearman. He is currently being held at the Putnam County Jail in lieu of $1,000 bail.

State Police In Wappinger Charge Man, 38, With Rape A Florida man who traveled to Fishkill to have sex with a girl under the age of 17 was charged Thursday with 10 counts of rape by New York State Troopers. Matthew D. Walder, 38, of Ponte Vedra, was charged with rape after an investigation revealed he had a sexual relationship with the victim whom he met at a family event, said Trooper Melissa McMorris, spokeswoman for the New York State Police. Wappingers Falls Boiler Explosion Injures One WAPPINGERS FALLS, N.Y. -- East Fishkill firefighters responded to a home around 8:45 a.m. Friday following a boiler explosion that caused major damage to the home, and injured one person, fire officials said. The explosion at 8 Treeline Drive caused a flash fire, but did not erupt into a full-blown fire, said East Fishkill Fire Chief Kevin Geysen. "The residents will not be able to return to the home until repairs are made due to the amount of damage," Geysen said. The injured person was transported to a local hospital for non-threatening injuries, he added.
