A jury found 37-year-old Raphael Powell guilty of seven charges on Wednesday, Jan. 10, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer announced. Powell was accused in an incident in Toms River on Saturday, July 2, 2022. Police ID Pedestrian Killed By Truck In Monmouth County Authorities have identified the pedestrian who was killed in Freehold on Tuesday, Jan. 9. A spokesperson for the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office said 61-year-old David Belcher was hit by a pickup on Route 9 South. No hometown for Belcher was given as of Thursday, Jan. 11. Freehold Township police responded to the crash a few hundred feet north of the Route 9 interchange with New Jersey Route 33 just after 5:30 p.m. Officers found Belcher lying in the road and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
