ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. -- Stony Point Police charged a North Rockland Central School District teacher on Thursday with abuse of special education students enrolled in the school system, according to police.

Cashier Steals Nearly $1,000 In Yorktown, Police Say
YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- Yorktown police arrested a White Plains cashier for stealing almost a $1,000 from the Sunoco A-Plus gas station where he worked on Feb. 13, Yorktown police said.
Willie L. Boyd Jr., 51, was charged Monday following an investigation into the thefts that took place from September to October 2016 at the station, police said.
According to police, Boyd stole the money by ringing up 157 "no sale" transactions on the store's cash register. He was arrested at the Town of Cortlandt Court where he was appearing on another matter, police added.
