TZB Falcon Naming Contest Winners Announced The two baby falcons perched atop the Tappan Zee Bridge finally have names. Two local students from Ossining and Ardsley were announced the winners of the 2017 Falcon Naming Contest this week by officials with the New NY Bridge project. The winning names? Puente and Tarrytalon. The winners were decided through a week-long online public poll, featuring submissions from local students. Police Nab Suffern Woman Wanted For Walmart Theft ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. -- A Suffern woman wanted by Ramapo police for stealing items from Walmart in December has been captured with the help of the public, according to the Ramapo Police. Lisa Cottone, 54, was captured after her photo and information appeared online and in Daily Voice on Monday. Cottone was originally arrested in December at the Airmont Walmart after she bolted from the store without paying for items stuffed into her purse and shopping cart, police said. Middle School Student Recovering After Being Hit By SUV In Mamaroneck This story has been updated. MAMARONECK, N.Y. -- An 11-year-old boy is recovering after being struck by an SUV en route to school in Mamaroneck Friday morning. The middle-school student, who has hit by the SUV at 1310 Boston Post Road, at around 8:15 a.m. Friday was transported to Westchester Medical Center for treatment, said Lt. Bob Koziak. "I can say that the child was alert and talking while being transported," Koziak said. The extent of the injuries to the child were not released.

Man Holds Ex-Girlfriend Against Her Will After Break-Up, Ramapo PD Says RAMAPO, N.Y. -- A 29-year-old man was arrested Thursday for holding his former girlfriend captive for several hours, according to Ramapo Police. The unidentified man from Pawtucket, R.I., was caught following a complaint from his former girlfriend on Feb. 26.
