A Millville teen was killed when his motorcycle crashed into an SUV in Vineland, authorities said. Thomas Gauntt IV, 16, died in the crash on Monday, Aug. 19, the Vineland Police Department said in a news release. Officers responded to the wreck near the intersection of South Lincoln Avenue and South Brewster Road at 11:37 p.m. Investigators said a 33-year-old Vineland woman was driving a 2018 Nissan Rogue north on South Lincoln and tried to make a left turn onto South Brewster. A Long Branch teen has been indicted after he was accused of killing a man in a triple shooting in Asbury Park more than a year ago, authorities said. A grand jury indicted 19-year-old Michael Sally for first-degree murder, attempted murder, conspiracy, and gang criminality, two counts of second-degree aggravated assault, second-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and unlawful possession of a weapon, and third-degree receiving stolen property. A Wall Township man has been indicted after he was accused of killing his ex-girlfriend with a machete in front of one of her children, authorities said. Man, 45, Found Dead Floating In Central Jersey River Identified: State Police
Troopers have identified the Edison man who was found dead in a river in East Brunswick. The body of 45-year-old Reynaldo Salcedo-Tavarez was discovered near where the Raritan and South rivers meet on Thursday, Aug. 8, a state police spokesperson said on Monday, Aug. 19. Marine troopers responded to the report of a person in the water at around 7:42 a.m. Salcedo-Tavarez's body was seen floating and he was pronounced dead at the scene. Salcedo-Tavarez's death remained under investigation and no other information was available.

Two Men Arrested For Paintball Shooting Spree In Trenton, Police Say
Two men were accused of a series of paintball shootings across Trenton, authorities said. Jamal Crusoe, 24, and Jesse Jones, 20, were arrested in the case, the Trenton Police Department said in a news release on Monday, Aug. 19. Their arrests came after a three-month investigation into the paintball shootings in the city in June. Police received several reports of men hit by paintballs shot from a moving vehicle. In separate incidents, two men were walking on a sidewalk when they were hit and a third was struck while sitting on a porch. Each victim suffered bruises and scrapes. …

New Jersey's first amputee to serve as a K9 police officer got a special call-up to the majors. Officer Michael Braxton Jr. with the Atlantic City Police Department threw out the first pitch at the Philadelphia Phillies game against the Washington Nationals on Saturday, Aug. 17. A Plainfield man was killed in a crash on Interstate 287 in Piscataway, authorities said. David Wynn, 68, died in the wreck on I-287 South on Thursday, Aug. 15, a state police spokesperson said. Troopers responded to the crash near milepost 8.8 at around 8:24 p.m. Investigators said Wynn was driving a Chevrolet vehicle when he crashed into the back of a trailer hauled by a Chevrolet pickup. Pedestrian Killed In Mount Laurel Crash Didn't Use Crosswalk, Police Say
A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and killed in Mount Laurel, authorities said. A vehicle heading south on Route 73 hit the pedestrian between Clover Road and Rogers Walk at around 11:10 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 17, Mount Laurel police said. The pedestrian wasn't identified as of Monday, Aug. 19. Investigators said the pedestrian didn't cross the road in a crosswalk. No other injuries were reported in the crash. The driver stopped and stayed at the scene. The crash remained under investigation.

A Philadelphia man was accused of having several types of drugs in the Wildwoods, authorities said. Matthew Monroe, 38, was arrested on Friday, Aug. 16, the Wildwood Crest Police Department said in a news release. An officer stopped Monroe in a vehicle near the intersection of Atlantic and Denver avenues at around 3:10 a.m. Investigators said the officer suspected the vehicle had evidence of criminal activity and a K9 officer sniffed the outside of the vehicle.
