Slammer Tennis World Of Norwalk Registering For Weekend, Night Classes NORWALK, Conn. -- Slammer Tennis World of Norwalk is registering children and adults for its evening and weekend programs. The programs are run in collaboration with Norwalk Recreation and Parks. Programs are for Pee-Wee, Junior and adult tennis players at the beginner and intermediate level. Putnam County Sees Surge In First Quarter Home Sales PUTNAM COUNTY, N.Y. -- Putnam County homeowners who have their homes on the market got welcome news during the first quarter. Sales swelled 29 percent in the quarter with increases in nearly every community. The median sales price fell, however, 13 percent. “I think Putnam County did pretty good,’’ said Dottie Herman, CEO of Douglas Elliman. “They’re on the way up.” Sales jumped dramatically in Putnam Valley, where 29 homes changed hands.
