Teen Girl Shot Dead In Philadelphia, 19-Year-Old Boy Arrested: Police
A teenager has been arrested for the fatal shooting of 17-year-old Jada Gray in Philadelphia, authorities announced on Thursday, April 10.
Officers with the 12th District responded to a radio call for a "person with a gun" on the 7000 block of Elmwood Avenue around 11:40 p.m. on Friday, March 29, 2024, police said. When they arrived, they found Gray, a Black female from the 7200 block of Passyunk Avenue, suffering from a gunshot wound to her chest behind the property, according to the release.

Man Shot In Head, Killed In North Philadelphia: Police
A man was fatally shot in the head in North Philadelphia early Sunday, Jan. 12, police said.
Officers from the Philadelphia Police Department responded to reports of a shooting on the 2600 block of North 27th Street in the 22nd District at 4:28 a.m., according to a release.
The man, whose age has not been determined, was pronounced dead on the scene by medics from the Philadelphia Fire Department at 4:28 a.m., authorities said.
The scene was secured, but no weapon was recovered, and no arrests have been made, police said.
