New York Gas Prices Remain Among Highest In Nation
The tristate area remains among the nation’s most expensive places to get gas, even as gas prices held relatively steady throughout the country during the Memorial Day Weekend holiday. Gas prices jumped just three cents in the past week, leading to a national average of $2.96 per gallon, with the average price in this area well over $3 per gallon. The jump comes weeks after President Donald Trump decision to withdraw the United States from the Iran nuclear deal. State Police Issue Memorial Day Weekend Advisory To Motorists
With one of the busiest driving weekends of the year here, Connecticut State Police will ramp up enforcement details statewide during the celebrations. Connecticut State Police troopers will be out in force during Memorial Day Weekend, targeting everything from motorists traveling too fast or while impaired, to those not wearing seatbelts or violating vehicle and traffic laws. Police said that they will use laser units for speed enforcement in both marked and unmarked cars during the holiday.
