2 Charged In Fatal Shooting Of Long Branch TikTok Star: Monmouth County Prosecutor
Two people, including a juvenile, were arrested and charged on Monday, June 30 with a fatal shooting on Long Branch that killed a popular TikToker, authorities said.
On Thursday, June 12 at 8:58 p.m., Long Branch police responded to the beach area between the shoreline and the boardwalk of Pier Village for a report of shots fired, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond Santiago said. Upon arrival, officers discovered Chrystopher Whyte suffering from a single gunshot wound, Santiago said.
Whyte was pronounced dead at the scene, Santiago said.

A man was struck and killed by an NJ Transit train Tuesday morning, May 6, near Middletown, suspending service in both directions along the North Jersey Coast Line, officials said.
The incident happened at 9:06 a.m., when train 3223, which had left Penn Station New York at 7:44 a.m., hit a trespasser just west of Middletown, NJ Transit said.
The train was scheduled to arrive in Long Branch at 9:23 a.m., and was carrying about 50 passengers and crew, none of whom were injured.
