Shots Fired At Clifton Dunkin' Donuts
No one was struck in a shooting Wednesday night at a Dunkin' Donuts in Clifton, responders said. A bullet came through the window of the shop at the corner of Van Houten Avenue and Wonham Street following what apparently was a drive-by shortly after 9 p.m. July 12. The shop was open at the time, but there was no one inside or outside the store when it happened, a shaken employee said. City police and Passaic County sheriff's officers scoured the area, looking through backyards and into vehicles. A driver for a local teen treatment facility sexually assaulted a 16-year-old girl before she locked herself in a Dunkin' Donuts bathroom on Route 17 and got help, authorities said. Armed Robberies: Bridgeport Man Gets Nearly 10 Years For Multiple Heists
A judge sentenced a 33-year-old Connecticut man who admitted to two 2019 armed robberies to more than nine years in federal prison on Monday, April 24, authorities said. Fairfield County resident Latrell S. Moore, of Bridgeport, pleaded guilty to multiple charges in the case in March 2022, the US Attorney for Connecticut said. Dunkin' Donuts workers found a man's body inside of their Newark store Friday, Feb. 24, authorities said. Police were called to the store on the 700 block of Broad Street around 10:45 a.m., on reports of an unresponsive male, Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé said.
