Police ID Chelmsford Man Killed After Crashing Into Tree A 61-year-old Chelmsford man was killed this week after his vehicle left the road and crashed into a tree, authorities said.  Ronald Wetmore was behind the wheel of a pickup truck that was driving down Westford Street around 11 p.m. on Monday, June 9, Chelmsford police said.  It's unclear why, but he left the road near 160 Westford Street and hit the tree. There were no passengers in the truck with him.  Paramedics rushed him to Lowell General Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead.  The crash remains under investigation.

$100K Lottery Ticket Sold In Chelmsford March ended with a major payday for one Bay Stater after they purchased a winning lottery ticket in Middlesex County.  The $100,000 Mass Cash ticket was sold at Petro Plus at 188 Princeton St. in Chelmsford on Sunday, March 31. The winner correctly guessed all five numbers of the daily drawing.  Those numbers were 1, 3, 5, 7, 23.  The winner's name was not released. Wanted Men Led Officers On Chase That Ended In Billerica Crash: Police A Lowell man wanted on assault with deadly weapon charges and his fugitive passenger led police on a chase through several cities Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 12, before they crashed, authorities said.  Chelmsford police received a 911 call around 12:30 p.m. that said Visitaction Rolon, 56, got into an argument with someone at a business on Drum Hill Road and pulled a knife and gun out during the confrontation, officials said.
