Pair Caught After Trying To Cash Fraudulent Check, Orangetown PD Says
ORANGETOWN, N.Y. -- A pair of men from out of the area were nabbed trying to cash a fraudulent check at a local bank on Saturday in Orangeburg, according to the Orangetown Police Department.The two, Brandon Samuel, 25, of Bloomfield, N.J., and Tydell Tribble, 26, of New York City, were arrested after officers managed to track them down after they attempted to cash a fraudulent check at a local bank, police said.

Know Him? Dog Found During St. Patrick's Day Parade In Pearl RIver
PEARL RIVER, N.Y. -- He wasn't wearing green or tossing back a beer or two, but a young male dog found wandering Pearl River's St. Patrick's Day parade on Sunday, seemed to be enjoying all of the excitement, according to Orangetown Police.
The only problem is he lost his owners during all of the fun and he doesn't have any tags or a chip to help police find his home, police said.
The reddish-brown dog, who is being cared for by the Bergen County Animal Response Team, is well-fed and well-cared for, knows basic commands, and is "very sweet," police added.
