Tractor-Trailer Destroyed After Hitting Overpass On Bronx River Parkway WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- A tractor-trailer carrying appliances hit an overpass on the Bronx River Parkway around 3:20 a.m., Wednesday, blocking one southbound lane, said Westchester County Police.The truck, which was destroyed, struck the overpass between exits 11E and 11W north of the Cross County Parkway, police said. Currently, southbound traffic is backing up past Tuckahoe Road on the Sprain Brook Parkway for several miles. No injuries were reported, police said.
