New Update: 2 People Trapped in Lexington Rollover Crash, Road Closed A serious two-car car crash in Middlesex County led to a multi-department response after multiple people were left stuck inside a wrecked vehicle, officials say. Multiple people were reported to be trapped in a rollover crash that occurred around 10:04 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 29, on Lowell Street in Lexington, according to the Lexington Police Department. Firefighters extracted the trapped people and EMS took all people inside both vehicles to nearby hospitals. Some of the injuries were minor, but others were serious, police said. Foxborough Man Dies In Hit, Run Crash, Rhode Island Man Arrested A man was charged with motor vehicle homicide after his involvement with a crash that killed a Norfolk County man, officials say. Randall Ricketts, age 58, of Foxborough, died on Monday, Aug. 29 after a three-car hit-and-run crash on Route 95 north near Exit 7 in North Attleborough, according to the Massachusetts State Police. Joseph Pompei Jr., age 50, of Cranston, Rhode Island, was later arrested in relation to the crash, police said in an update. Rescuers, Divers Search For Person In Boston River Officials launched a multi-unit search to find a person suspected to be in a Suffolk County river. A search crew began efforts to find a person who may be in the water at Neponset River Hyde Park around 7:30 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 28, according to the Boston Fire Department. Cohasset Pair, Child Nabbed For Vandalism In Hull Three people were arrested for trespassing and spray painting a park in Norfolk County, officials say. Matthew Ferreira, age 18, and Kylie Ferreira, age 20, both of Cohasset, were arrested along with a 17-year-old girl for allegedly trespassing and spray painting forts at Fort Revere Park in Hull, according to the Hull Police Department. Mass Ranks Among Safest States To Use Public Transportation: Study Massachusetts residents have read plenty of MBTA horror stories, but those are outliers according to a new report that ranks the Bay State as one of the safest in the country in public transportation.
