I wish it wasnt so easy to get into my sons school. I buzz the button, they say come in, and in you go. I loved the picture of a principal at a school that moved his desk to the hallway, where he could see the doors and everyone could see him. Its sad to know that the schools need to be locked up, but it is the way of the world and even with the doors locked, this guy got in through locked doors. Whos to say this couldnt happen here? The doors are a sheet of glass- easy to break. Anyone else see a problem with that? Maybe new, more secure and difficult to break should be installed in the future. Bryn Mawr has a great office set up. When you go in the door, you have to sign in before you can get into the school. Same with Jula Bancroft. View Comment

Maryellen doesnt do a whole lot but talk alot and nothing gets rectified. I marched right into her office one day and chewed her out because the lack of response when people are being bullied at the schools. Time to go over their heads!! View Comment
Call Maryellen, threaten to call the state and a lawyer. My son had issues last year with the Vice Principal, he is no longer allowed to be involved in any disciplinary action where my son is concerned. My son was STABBED in the ear with a plastic spoon, causing a laceration in his ear canal. Luckily, it didnt damage the ear drum or I would have been suing the town, the school, and Mrs Brunelle. I think us parents need to start banding together and raid the school committee meetings. The ONLY person who addressed this from the School Committee was TODD HAMMOND! He cared, and kept in touch with me. It is of great detriment to this town that the Hammonds are being shunned because they are GOOD people, parents and care about the town and the people in it- old and new!!!! View Comment

Sorry Tim- I voted for you and I even wrote Nick Hammond in against this arrogant person who needs to be shown the door for some new blood to take over and straighten things out in town. You might have some fooled Doreen- but not all- not the ones whove been here forever watching you and your self serving ways. I think it is unfair to basically be calling Todd a liar. I wouldnt talk to anyone who is accusatory towards me either. That could get ugly. Yes, I do think he should be responsible for the bill, but dogs get loose all the time- it happens. Leashes arent made of cement and do on occasion break. As for the dog officer. DONT BOTHER. Shes pretty freaken useless and that callous attitude she showed really is no surprise to me. Ive left more messages on her damn voice mail and she has NEVER called me back.
