I for one, as all of you, am not crazy about paying more, but harpoon has it correct. New High School, Fire Station, Police Station, Elementary school and hopefully a new DPW facility. The time to bi.... is not now but at the finance committee meetings where they pick apart the budget line by line. The extra .45 will certainly go to other necessary expenditures in the town. John: I really feel sorry for you that your childhood was so difficult. When I was 13 we didn't know what minority was, poor people lived in other countries and we gave extra money in the basket for them (what little we had). Women were our moms, our teachers and the Nuns and their was no controlling them, unless you meant your school girl friends, and there was no controlling them either! Firstly Lamp boy I will never trust you! Secondly it is a wonderful thing that the selectman can bring together so many committees and rally whatever voters show up! I remember a citizen petition that was brought up, maybe two town meetings ago, that certain person tried to replace boilers at the schools if I remember correctly. The measure received conservativly about two votes, because that person had their both hands up!! I think I'll go with the Selectman.
