SHREWSBURY, Mass. — Like many officials in the Northeast, Shrewsbury School Superintendent Joseph Sawyer is keeping a weather eye on the blizzard expected to hit Friday. Sawyer will make the call if school is called off due to the weather.

“The question is timing,” Sawyer told the school committee Wednesday, adding that students may have  a full day, an early release day or no school at all, depending on when, exactly, the storm hits.

“We'll make everyone well aware” when the decision is made, he said.
