SHREWSBURY, Mass. — Shrewsbury Police are looking for a man they said robbed Commerce Bank on Monday morning.
Police said they received a report of a robbery at the Commerce branch at 226 Boston Turnpike (Route 9) at about 10:33 a.m.
According to police, the suspect passed a note to a teller demanding money, and then fled with an unknown amount of cash. No weapon was shown and no injuries were reported as a result of the robbery.
Shrewsbury officers, including a K-9 unit, searched the area for about two two hours.
Massachusetts State Police assisted at the crime scene.
The suspect is described as a white male in his mid-thirties, about 6 feet tall, skinny, with a reddish scruffy beard. Police said he was wearing a dark Carhartt-style jacket with a gray hood and white baseball hat.
