Man Killed By Car Identified As Shrewsbury Resident

SHREWSBURY, Mass. — The name of the man struck and killed while attempting to cross Hartford Turnpike Thursday night has been released by Shrewsbury police.

Timothy J. Sullivan, 48, of 151 Hartford Turnpike, Shrewsbury, was pronounced dead at UMass Memorial Hospital after he was struck by a Jeep Liberty driven Joanne Breault of Vermont, police said.

Police had been withholding the victim's name until his family members were notified.

The accident remains under investigation by Officer Richard H. Fiske, Shrewsbury police accident reconstructionist.
