SHREWSBURY, Mass. – Elsie L. Oster Decoteau of Shrewsbury died Jan. 7 at Shrewsbury Nursing Home. She was 89.
Decoteau was born June 23, 1923, in Worcester to Charles G. and Freda M. Bjurman Oster. She was married to Arthur E. Decoteau, who died in 1998. Educated in Worcester schools, Decoteau worked for Denholm’s and later Filene’s.
She is survived by a sister, Alice Sampson, of Shrewsbury; and five nieces and a nephew. She was predeceased by two sisters, Lillian Spaulding and Mildred Carlson.
Visitation is 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Britton-Shrewsbury Funeral Home. A service will follow at 11 a.m. Burial will be at Mountain View Cemetery.
