SHREWSBURY, Mass. — Several weekend activities in Shrewsbury have been cancelled or postponed due to the upcoming blizzard:
• Shrewsbury municipal offices closed Friday at noon.
• Boys Scout Troop 114's bottle and can drive has been rescheduled to Feb. 16 from 9 a.m. to noon at town hall.
• The Shrewsbury Youth & Family Services 9th Annual Gala, scheduled for Saturday, has been postponed to a date to be determined.
• The public sale of surplus items from Sherwood Middle School has been postponed to 9 a.m. Feb. 16 at the former Sherwood Middle School.
• Shrewsbury Parks and Recreation Saturday recreational basketball games are rescheduled for Feb. 16. The schedule of make-up games is posted on Parks & Recreation's winter basketball website.
• The Shrewsbury Public Library will close at noonFriday and remain closed all day Saturday. All weekend programs are cancelled.
• Boys freshmen, junior varsity and varsity basketball games scheduled for Friday in Shrewsbury have been rescheduled for Sunday. Saturday's boys' freshman game has been postponed to a future date.
• The finance committee budget hearings scheduled for Saturday have been rescheduled to Feb 16.
• The Get Fit Winter Family Adventure at Shrewsbury High School, scheduled for Saturday, now will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 16.
• Shrewsbury native Mike Birbiglia's "My Girlfriend's Boyfriend" has been rescheduled for March 8 at the Hanover Theater. All original tickets will be honored for that date.
