Shrewsbury Auctions Surplus Items Online

SHREWSBURY, Mass. — That 2002 Ford Taurus in fair condition that you've always dreamed of owning? It could be all yours, if you're a winning bidder in the Town of Shrewsury's surplus vehicle/equipment auction.

The Taurus (current bid as of Wednesday morning: $132.49), and other surplus highway vehicles and miscellaneous equipment are being auctioned online by PublicSurplus.com. The auction closes at 5 p.m., Jan. 15.

All sales are final, and a 10 percent buyers' premium will be visible during the bidding process and added to the total bid.

Successful bidders will receive notice via email from PublicSurplus.com, which will collect all payments for the town. Payment must be received within five business days of close of auction and may be done online by credit card or wire transfer. Successful bidders will be responsible for the removal of items.
