SHREWSBURY, Mass. - Ethel M. (MacDougall) Schiavone, 85, died peacefully at home November 29, 2012.
She leaves her husband Albert Schiavone; two children, Gayle A. Schiavone and Albert Schiavone Jr.; two sisters, Janet R. Quermit, Lillian Paris; one brother John MacDougall and two grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents James and Annie (Steele) MacDougall, her brothers, Robert, Donald, Tom and William MacDougall and her sister Anne E. MacDougall.
She was born in Grafton, March 20, 1927 and has lived many years in Shrewsbury. Mrs. Schiavone worked 20 years for The Commonwealth of Mass. DYS at The Lyman School in Westborough and then as a liason for DYS, retiring in 1984. She then was a consultant to the Mass. Juvenile Police Officers Association and a LPN at Shrewsbury Nursing Home and The St. Francis Home in Worcester.
Ethel was a lifelong parishioner of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in North Grafton, a 50 year member of Rachel Chapter # 61 Eastern Star in Grafton, and The MA Retired State Employees Association.
Following Ethel's wishes there will be no calling hours and services will be private.
Memorial donations may be made in her memory to St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 53 North Main St. North Grafton MA 01536 also per her wishes.
Arrangements are in the care of The Roney Funeral Home in North Grafton.
