WESTBOROUGH, Mass. — Seth Mazzaglia has waived his right to a probable cause hearing on second-degree murder charges in the death of Westborough native Elizabeth "Lizzi" Marriott. The hearing was scheduled for Friday morning.

With the court records sealed, details of the case remain a mystery. Several media organizations filed a motion to unseal the records, but Assistant Attorney General James Vara filed an objection saying that it would "jeopardize an ongoing investigation."

He said releasing the documents could allow those still being investigated to coordinate with potential witnesses, destroy evidence or flee.

The search for Marriott's body off Peirce Island in Portsmouth, N.H., is still underway.

A hearing has been scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 29, in Dover (N.H.) District Court, where arguments for the release of court records will be heard.
