SHREWSBURY, Mass. -- It's still not too late to register for Shrewsbury Girls Lacrosse.
The grade 3-8 program is geared at introducing and developing players' skills and love of the game in a friendly atmosphere by US Lacrosse and Positive Coaching Alliance-certified coaches. Indoor practices start in March; outdoor practices at Oak Middle School will be Mondays and Wednesdays starting in April. Games will be Sundays with the first one April 7 continuing through June 9.
Total registration is $165, which includes a uniform and town field fees. Register online at www.shrewsburygirlslax.usl.la.
Shrewsbury Girls Lacrosse also is offering an instructional lacrosse season for girls in grades 1-2. The season will have five weeks of instruction Wednesday evenings starting mid-April. The season will end with introductory games against local towns. Shrewsbury High School Varsity Lacrosse Players and US Lacrosse Certified Coaches will be instructing.
The program is geared at introducing young players to the sport in a friendly atmosphere that will develop a love for the game. A lacrosse stick, mouth guard and goggles are required to play.
