SHREWSBURY, Mass. — Shrewsbury police have a pretty big wagon, and they intend to fill it with toys. On Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon,  the Shrewsbury Patrolman’s Local 426 will hold a Toy’s for Tots drive at the Shrewsbury Police Department at 106 Maple Ave.

The union is looking for new unwrapped toys for a Fill The Wagon event. Hot chocolate will be served, and Santa Claus will make a special guest appearance.

Since 1947, the U.S. Marine Corps and the Marines Toys For Tots Foundation have distributed more than 452 million toys to more than 209 million needy children at Christmas.
