WORCESTER, Mass. — Shrewsbury High's varsity field hockey team's dream ended unceremoniously Saturday. Shrewsbury lost its bid for the MIAA state championship, 3-0, to Acton-Boxborough Regional High School.

The game was a stalemate through much of the first half, with Acton-Boxborough's offense in control most of the time.
