WESTBOROUGH, Mass. — It wasn't the victory that Shrewsbury Boys' Hockey Coach Steve Turnblom wanted. But it was a victory nonetheless, as the Colonials defeated the Algonquin Tomahawks, 5-4, after a nail-biter of a third period that ended the regular season.
Shrewsbury dominated the first period, but was scoreless in the second, ceding the lead to Algonquin.
The third period saw Shrewsbury take the lead again, only to be tied thanks to a successful shot by Algonquin's Dylan Connelly.
