Shrewsbury Youth & Family Services Gala Is Feb. 9

SHREWSBURY, Mass.  – Shrewsbury Youth And Family Services will celebrate “Thirty Years of Community Caring” at its 9th Annual Gala on Feb. 9 at St. John’s High School.

Bob Jacques  will be honored with the 2013 Harry S. Cutting, Jr. Award, while Shrewsbury youths Nick Silverio, Kristen Grip, Aaron Hayden, and Jennifer Tylock will receive Outstanding Youth of Shrewsbury awards.

The event will be catered by Pepper’s Fine Catering and the Shrewsbury High School Jazz Combo will provide entertainment.

Tickets are $85 and are tax deductible. They can be purchased online, by phone at 508-845-6932, or in person at Shrewsbury Youth And Family Services, 240 Maple Ave. with cash, check, or credit card.  Space is limited.

A diamond pendant from Sachs Jewelers will be raffled off at the event, and a live auction will be held with items including the following:

  • Two tickets to see P!nk - March 28 at the TD Garden;
  • Two tickets to the Bruins vs. Montrea game l- March 3;
  • Two Club Seats to a pre-season Patriots game;
  • Four Club Seats to an in-season Patriots game on the 40 yard line;
  • Celtics team-signed ball;
  • Catered dinner by Pepper's Fine Catering;
  • Golf for three at Worcester Country Club;
  • Golf for four at Mount Pleasant Country Club;
  • Dinner for eight at the home of Jim and Hannah Kane;
  • Sushi and sailing for four on Boston Harbor with the Dalkes;
  • J. Briggs & Co. pearl and 18k gold earrings;
  • BMW mountain bike;
  • $800 off a Lilliput after-school preschool program
  • One week of summer camp at Shrewsbury Health and Racquet Club.
