SHREWSBURY, Mass. — Shrewsbury Crossings is offering a program on “Senior Bullying and Its Impact” to be held Thursday at 8:30 a.m. Participants will learn what to look for and how to assist seniors managing this social problem.

"This topic was selected in light of the recent expanded awareness of bullying among our youths, and there can be very similar dynamics in the senior population," said Shrewsbury Crossings representative Kelly Marcimo. "We hope caregivers, families, and anyone that works with the senior population will come to learn more about this critical topic."

Register for the event here. The program will be repeated March 7

Shrewsbury Crossings offers assisted living and the Harbor Program of care for those with Alzheimer’s disease and other memory impairments.

Bullying is also a serious problem in the workplace. Currently, there is a proposal called the Massachusetts Healthy Workplace Bill, House Docket 517 that would prevent and provide remedies for workers who are bullied at work. I am sure if this bill passes, it can be also applied to situations outside of the workplace as well. Please contact Representative Matt Beaton and Senator Michael Moore to ask them to support this bill.
