YORKTOWN, N.Y.-- Many proud parents keep a few photos in their wallet of their children and families, but Yorktown Councilman Vishnu Patel always has an entire photo album handy, proudly displaying photos of his son and daughter.
Patel's son, Amit Patel was able to return home from Afghanistan for Thanksgiving before returning back where he works as a Black Hawk Pilot and mechanical engineer. Amit is a 2004 Yorktown High School and 2008 West Point graduate.
