Shrewsbury Historical Society Presents Outstanding American Quilts and Coverlets Since 1620

About the Program:

Learn about identifying and dating quilt and coverlet designs, from English toile to trapunto, and from crewel to candlewick. Mr. Callan, an authority on quilts and coverlets, will also bring two eighteenth century coverlets.

About the Presenter:

Henry Callan of Sandwich, MA is a noted historian, art collector, educator, authority on Americana and scholar. Mr. Callan has been buying and selling antiques since 1969 and is a member of the New England Appraisers. If interested, attendees are invited to bring along a quilt or coverlet.
