Peekskill PBA Golf Outing Monday at Hollowbrook

PEEKSKILL – The Peekskill Police Benevolent Association will hold its 27th Annual golf outing Monday at Hollowbrook Golf Club in Cortlandt Manor. Registration for the event will begin at 9 a.m. and the gun shot start will be at 10 a.m. sharp.

The $150 registration fee covers green fees, golf cart, driving range and a barbeque dinner at the golf club following the event. The event is limited to 120 players and only amateur golfers may participate. Peekskill PBA president Lou Denet said the golf outing is one of several events that help fund the PBA’s charity work.

“The PBA donates to several charities,” Denet said. “Just about anybody that sends us a request for a donation we send them a minimum of $100. We’re not a non-profit organization so we need to do some benefits every year to keep up funds so we are able to donate to other organizations”

Denet said the Peekskill Police members who aren’t playing volunteer their time to help run events such as hole-in-one and longest drive contests. The event is open to everyone.

“We’ve always been lucky to have good weather, and Monday is looking good,” Denet said.

Proper golf attire is required for the event for both men and women: cargo pants and shorts, tee shirts, sweat pants, jeans, and shorts shorter than mid-thigh length are prohibited in the club.
