Hudson Valley Hospital Center to Host GI Seminar

Hudson Valley Hospital Center will host a free program on acid reflux disease and the latest testing available for gastrointestinal diseases tomorrow, Wednesday, June 9.

“Gastroesophageal reflux disease is when acid travels up from the stomach into the esophagus and causes burning and other symptoms,” said Dr. Eric Teitel, Director of the GI Physiology Lab at Hudson Valley Hospital Center."

The seminar will focus on the new diagnostic treatment possibilities for people suffering from gastrointestinal disorders such as GERD (Gastroesophogeal Reflux Disease) which are available at Hudson Valley Hospital Center.

“One of the important things in treating reflux patients is to know how severe this reflux is and when it occurs," Teitel said. "Our new physiology lab gives doctors the ability to monitor these changes over a 48-hour period to help us better evaluate a course of treatment.”

A light dinner will be served at the event. To register please call (914) 734-3557.

Hudson Valley Hospital Center is located at 1090 Crompond Road, Cortlandt Manor, N.Y.
