SHREWSBURY, Mass. — Looking for some holiday cheer this December? There’s plenty in Shrewsbury.

Masonic Lodge Tree Sale. Every Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. until Christmas. Matthew John Whittall Masonic Lodge Christmas tree sale to raise funds for 14 charities in and around Shrewsbury.  353 Boston Turnpike.

Merrimack Valley Ringers. Saturday, Dec. 1, 7 p.m. Handbell choir performs a wide range of repertoire, including several holiday favorites. Suggested donation: $10 adult, $5 children and students. First Congregational Church of Shrewsbury. 19 Church Road.

Santa at the Sumner House. Saturday, Dec. 1. 12:30 p.m. Heald & Chiampa has arranged for Santa Claus to pose for photos with all those who attend. Heald & Chiampa Funeral Directors. 5 Church Road.

Santa at Hebert’s. Saturday, Dec. 1. 4:30 p.m. Santa will arrive on a Shrewsbury fire truck and will be welcomed by the Shrewsbury High School Choir. Santa will greet children and all are welcome to sit with him. Each visitor will receive a chocolate treat. Hebert’s Candy Mansion. 575 Hartford Turnpike.

Christmas Party at the Senior Center. Friday, Dec. 7, noon. State Rep. Matthew Beaton will host a Christmas luncheon with a ham dinner and an assortment of desserts and coffee, plus live entertainment. The event is free. Sign up at the front desk at the Senior Center by Dec. 4. Shrewsbury Senior Center. 98 Maple Ave.

The Shrewsbury Police Patrolmen's Local 426 Toy Drive. Saturday, Dec. 8, 9 a.m. to noon. The event is titled “Fill the Wagon” as police will be trying to fill the patrol wagon with new, unwrapped toys. Hot chocolate will be served and Santa will be making an appearance. 106 Maple St.

Shrewsbury Historical Society Presents “Victorian Christmas.” Wednesday, Dec. 12, 7 p.m. Learn about historic Victorian traditions from historical interpreter Patricia Perry. 1830 Brick Schoolhouse on Church Road.

Shrewsbury Child Development Committee Holiday Party. Saturday, Dec. 15, 1 p.m. Games and crafts, refreshments and an appearance by Santa Claus. Hanukkah and Kwanza will also be celebrated at this event. Space is limited; $12 per child. Spring Street School gym. 123 Spring St.

Shrewsbury High School A Cappella Choir Seasonal Concert. Tuesday, Dec. 18, 1 p.m. Refreshments will be served. This program is hosted by the Friends of the Shrewsbury Senior Center, Inc. Shrewsbury Senior Center. 98 Maple Ave.

Caroling on the Common. Saturday, Dec. 23, 7 p.m. The Worcester Brass Consort accompanies participants as they sing carols. Song sheets and hot chocolate are provided by Scizzors Hair Salon, Shrewsbury. Bring a flashlight. Bring toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner and/or deodorant, which will be distributed to needy area families. The event will be held in snow, rain, sleet or moonlight. Shrewsbury Town Common, at the intersection of Route 140 and Main Street.
