Letter: Camillo Supports Povinelli for Board of Ed

GREENWICH, Conn. – The following letter was written by State Rep. Fred Camillo, R-151, in support of Greenwich Board of Education candidate Anna Saras Povinelli.

I was proud to nominate Anna Saras Povinelli as a candidate for the Board of Education, and I write today to endorse Anna Saras Povinelli for the Board of Education. Anna is the mother of four children, all of whom are enrolled in the Greenwich Public Schools. This fact is important since it exposes her to what is happening at each level of the school system, and what children are learning in the classroom. She knows what parents are concerned about and is not afraid to present her facts. I admire her for being an outspoken advocate for improving academic performance for ALL students throughout the years. The Town of Greenwich is fortunate to have her step up and take on this challenge.

Anna also has a strong financial background as an auditor and financial analyst, which will prove valuable to all taxpayers in town since she understands budgets and respects the fiduciary responsibility the Board of Education has to the entire town. She also has common sense and a passion for excellence in education. She will not just ask the right questions, she will also work toward the correct solutions.

I trust Anna to continue to advocate for what every parent and taxpayer wants: a school system that sets the standard for education.

On Nov. 8, please vote for Anna Saras Povinelli … one of us, one to be counted on.
