GRAFTON, Mass. — The seventh annual Grafton Fine Arts and Music Festival is seeking participation on many levels in 2013.
The event takes place March 23 and will showcase artists throughout the Blackstone Valley area. There are a variety of ways to participate in the festival, including event planning and entering your family's artwork.
The festival is a busy event spread over most of a week, which begins with the intake of artists' offerings, setting up the display space, space decoration and arrangement of display panels, followed by the hanging of the art. Finally, the show takes place, featuring two receptions and awards ceremonies for children and adult artists.
The festival showcases a variety of art forms as well as artist demonstrations. The artists’ reception and awards ceremonies have drawn large crowds each year to view the work of more than 100 local artists, from young children to senior citizens.
This family-friendly festival is a wonderful way to get involved with people who believe in promoting art appreciation.
This festival owes its great diversity and success not only to the community and the artists who exhibit, but also to its dedicated volunteers. Please join organizers in continuing the tradition of bringing fine art and music to the community.
